Renovation Complete!
Located at Big Foot High School in Walworth, WI, the auditorium was originally constructed in 1957-1958. . In 2016, we finished construction on a $ 1.4 million, 9, 000-square-foot auditorium renovation. The inside of the auditorium was completely gutted to modernize the space, complete with ADA access modifications, new seating, new theatrical lighting, sound upgrades and many more items needed to bring the facility up to date. New rigging systems and curtains were also installed. “The Big Foot High School District decided to modernize this auditorium by judiciously using available funds on construction improvements that would provide the greatest impact for students and staff and the community,” said former Administrator Dorothy Kaufmann. “In addition to interior cosmetic improvements, the district is upgrading lighting to LED lights, which reduce maintenance and operation costs and improve efficiency. The new wheelchair access with ramps up to the main stage will also improve how this auditorium functions.” The auditorium is now available for public use and has many special features including seating for 550 people. “The entire school is excited to have our theatre being remodeled to come back better than it was before,” explained former BFHS Administrator Dorothy Kaufman “From hosting assemblies to providing a space for creativity and performances, our theatre is an important part of school life.”
